    Description

Superb 18th/19thc architectural cast iron door knocker in the design of a woman's hand, by Archibald Kenrick & Sons.
Excellent attention to detail on this beautiful door knocker which retains original paintwork.  The palm of the hand is impressed AK & SONS.   The plate which fixes to the door has numbers 265 impressed.  The woman's hand is black with a ring to her middle finger.  Her cuff is decorative with green and a little red paintwork.  She wears a bracelet on her wrist, just below her frilled cuff.   She cups a ball in her hand.
The knocker measures an overall length of some 7.5".  The plate itself measures some 2.75" x 2".
There is, of course, some age rubbing to the paint as to be expected but this Kenrick door knocker is in excellent and age commensurate condition.
    All as per images.
A superb original Kenrick & Sons cast iron door knocker modelled as a female's hand.  Dating 18th/19thc.
