antique heavy solid brass letter mail slot front door knocker hardware

Description

Up for sale is a wonderful antique solid brass letter slot/door knocker.
It is cast out of very thick brass and has a nice polished finish.
It doubles as a door knocker and has a hinged letter slot that opens and closes to be able to send letters through the door.
The slot also has the word "letters" embossed on the face.
The knocker has a long arm that pivots back and forth to strike the backplate.
It's in nice condition and measures 8 inches long by 3 1/4 inches wide by 1 1/4 inches thick.
