ANTIQUE MECHANICAL NICKEL DOORBELL WITH IRON TRIP LEVER

Description

In great condition this is an antique mechanical doorbell.  Bell is brass with heavy nickel plating. The front is marked "Connell's Patent" and on the back is Patent April 23, 1874. As seen in photos this bell is  beautifully detailed. No breaks or cracks to the bell or its iron base. The bell does work with a trip lever` but also could be used with a pull cord. It was found with an iron trip lever that has been stripped of layers of old paint. Bell produces a moderately loud ring when activated.  The following measurements are approximate and in inches:
