    Description:
    Very interesting and whimsical cast iron door knocker in the figure of a circus elephant.  The trunk functions as the pivot for the knocker. All self-contained there are three support holes to fasten the door knocker to the door.  Solid cast iron with a bronze finish.  No Maker's marks found.  A search on the net only yielded one sold a few years ago so not many appear to have been made.  Very solid and well made this piece is ready for service.
