  • Condition: This is a very beautiful red glass lens made by Kilborn Sauer as Lens #412. It is ALMOST perfect, but has a very minor chip at the bottom, on the inside rim and will not show from the front and will not detract at all and does not interfere with any type of application. See the close-up of that minor chip. The rim remains SOLID.

    Description

    This is a very beautiful red glass lens made by Kilborn Sauer as Lens #412.  What makes this beautiful is that it is extremely convex, with a very full outward presence so as to be visible from obtuse angles.  It is ALMOST perfect, but has a very minor chip at the bottom, on the inside rim and will not show from the front and will not detract at all and does not interfere with any type of application.  See the close-up of that minor chip.  The rim remains SOLID and will form a perfect seal with any gasket, etc.
    The dimensions are: Outside diameter of 5-15/16-inches (measured with a caliper) and this was likely marketed originally as a 6-inch lens.  The inside diameter of the "face" of the lens that would show through the bezel is 5-9/16 inches.
