RARE ANTIQUE VICTORIAN ORNATE BRASS, PORCELAIN & MARBLE SERVANTS/DOOR BELL ASSEMBLY WITH PULL CHAIN AS-IS

A very rare find that came out of an old estates garage from a box of junk. I am selling this piece as-is not because it does not work but I am not sure how it was used. This was either a Victorian door bell assembly or more likely a servants bell assembly from what little information I could find. There would have been a bell located on a door or wall (not included).
I saw a piece quite similar in the UK and they lets say were extremely proud of it. The piece has what looks like a porcelain center and a marble knob that is attached to the lever. This moves the chain up and down. I believe this chain was attached to another chain that had the bell.
When the lever was engaged it would ring the bell. The marble knob looks a little lopsided but I do not know if that is a normal position. There is staining on the round white porcelain center around the edges. Please use photos as a major part of the description.
This piece measures approximately 5 3/4 in total length. The center piece measures approximately 3 3/8 inches in diameter. The lever does move freely as the chain moves with it. Certainly a piece that is very had to come by and to me would make a nice addition to an old house as a unique accessory.
