Vintage 1940 Ludwig and Ludwig 13x9 Modern Bi-Tone Tom Drum

Rare 1940 Ludwig and Ludwig Modern Bi-Tone tom. 13x9. These were made for only a few years with the plastic "bake-lite"-esque lug covers. Overall the drum is complete except for the missing badge. Original hoop, tension rods, claws, mount, etc. No extra holes. 3 of the 6 lug covers are still present on this drum however there are some cracks starting to show on them. The steel internal lug is still present and fully functional on all 6 lugs. There is rust on the tension rods and pitting on the hoop. The pearl wrap is in fair condition for it's age. There is some seam lift at the tom mount and a few stress cracks showing around some lugs. I think it would clean up nicely with a polish while still retaining its patina. The resonant calf skin head has a hole and is starting to come off in one spot. The batter head could be original. When I pulled it off it was like opening a time capsule. All of the hardware screws are clean and rust/oxidation free. There is no visible ply separation and the bearing edge is in excellent shape. Hand-written dates are still visible inside: April 12, 1940. Includes a Ludwig bass drum hoop clamp on tom mount. This drum would make an excellent restoration candidate.
